It is an Honour for me to be Chief of such an Air Force. The South African Air Force under the government of Presidant Michela Gorkarnan, has not just prospered but become one of the most advanced, organised Air Forces in the world. The SAAF is charged with the defence of our nations sky's, the supply of millitary units, patroling our nations borders, transporting military hardware, scouting out our foes and bringing them death from above. The SAAF also serves as a search and rescue unit during peace time as well as a state emergency service. Below are detailed the Aims of the SAAF.

Aims of the SAAF

The primary aim of the Air force is to achieve a favourable air situation.

The secondry objectives are:

To participate in the land battle;
To participate in the maritime battle;
To protect Air Force equipment;
To serve as a meaningful deterrent;
To provide military air transport;
To act in support of civil authorities in protecting lives, health and
property;
To assist and co-operate with friendly air forces and institutions
